At some point in our lives we will face the passing of a loved one and the responsibility of arranging their funeral.

This is often a time of great sadness and stress may also be playing a part in the myriad of emotions that is loss and grief.

We may even begin to question how we ourselves wish to be farewelled when our own time comes.

We consider how to respect and honour our loved one in what has become a richly diverse community.

It is with the greatest respect and kindness that I acknowledge how deeply personal the choices are.

As an experienced end of life facilitator, funeral celebrant and Reiki practitioner I have the ability to provide comprehensive support and hold a nurturing space for you throughout the journey before, during, and after the passing of your loved one. I take a holistic approach to ensure your well-being and comfort.

Funerals play an important role in helping people grieve and I believe that a ceremony that accommodates diversity and choice will provide the means to authentically express yourselves and guide you gently through this difficult time.

A funeral ceremony that speaks to your heart can be a deeply healing experience. Whatever you decide, I will be there to guide you every step of the way.

Please contact me for further information.

Here’s a little sample of me at work. Thank you to David and Mavis’s families for their permission to share the footage.

I believe that a ceremony accommodating diversity and choice provides the means to authentically express yourself and guide you gently through this difficult time.

When is the right time to discuss a funeral?

For some, being involved in their own death and dying process is extremely empowering. I’m here to hold your hand and maintain a safe and peaceful space within which you may explore your options. For others it will be the family who contact me to discuss options either before or after their loved one’s passing.

Whatever path is chosen, an open conversation is always available and all questions and concerns are met with sincerity and transparency.

Every family is unique, and every funeral ceremony should also be unique. I recognise this and with compassion and sincerity work with you to explore your diverse choices. I am committed to meeting every bereaved family’s practical and spiritual needs. I also understand the nature of family dynamics at this difficult time.

When required, I provide referrals to other affiliated professionals such as:

Funeral directors

Florists

Caterers

Grief Counsellors

Options to discuss may include:

Funeral location

Style of ceremony

Rituals to include

Environmentally sensitive funerals

On the 15 April, you conducted the service for my darling wife Karen.

Although i have spoken to you and thanked you for a wonderful service i would like to pass on to you some comments that were made.

This morning I went back to my old workplace(Supreme Court of Victoria) to thank  some of the people that attended the service mainly because it came as a surprise to me to see them there, none of the three Supreme Court Judges who attended had ever met Karen but by the end of the service they all said it was like they knew her well.

All of them have said to me this morning that the celebrant who performed the service was excellent and it could not have been done any better. Now knowing these three judges well they are not easy to impress, but you did.

Comments are always made at any service you have done but I felt it was important that you know the impact you made on people who didn’t even know Karen.

Once again thank you so much for a truly beautiful eulogy.

Bob, Melbourne

Thank you for the compassion and guidance you showed us in organising our mums farewell.

Sandra, you enabled us to remember our mum in the way we wanted, knowing that you had everything under control.

The ceremony was beautiful and reflected exactly the feel that we wanted and our mum would have loved it.

As mums illness progressed I knew the time would come when I would have to once again look for help in farewelling a loved one.

Having lost very close family members over the last 3 years, I admit the thought was overwhelming due to the experiences of the past.

However thankfully I think mum steered us into your hands, and the burden seemed lifted from the first time we met you.

We cannot thank you enough for guiding us through this tough time with the utmost respect, compassion and professionalism.

Yours sincerely,

Mark, Paul, Joanne and family

On behalf of our children, Ebony and Will, I would like to express my sincerest thanks to Sandra Jason for her wonderful help following the unexpected passing of my beautiful wife Michelle recently.

Sandra was not just a professional celebrant guiding us through a difficult process; her beautiful words were loving and respectful to Michelle, and her approach to us warm, caring, and sympathetic – so much she felt part of our family.

Thank you, Sandra.

Hello Sandra, I wanted to wait a day or so after Ann’s celebration, to thank you on behalf of the family for the truly wonderful way in which you organised and presented the ceremony honouring our beloved Ann.

The order of service, format and the occasion as a whole was flawless and we have had much feedback as to how memorable the service was.

And thank you for your letter together with a copy of the Order Of Service. Also for your mention of support through the Aust. Centre for Grief and Bereavement, should any family member need it.

Mike, Melbourne

I just wanted to drop you a line to say what a fantastic job you did yesterday. I don’t think it could have gone better.

Numerous people commented on how pitch perfect your tone and eulogy were, and you made it very easy for us to be prepared for what of course was a difficult occasion.

One note I got from one of my friends in America:
I’m not sure if it’s fitting to rank a service, but nevertheless I thought it was one of the most beautiful, poignant, bright, classy and memorable sendoffs I have ever seen.”

Thanks for everything,

Rita, Cinden, Russell, and Lewis, Melbourne

At a time of confusion and anguish following the untimely death of our son, Sandra guided us in constructing a service that celebrated his life with a beautiful mixture of traditional prayerfulness, music and images interspersed with appropriate speeches and tributes. Her combination of emotional sensitivity, practical experience and understated eloquence during the service provided us with the comfort and strength to farewell our son in the best possible way.
